OAB Hotlines

The OAB offers members several hotlines they can access for quick answers to legal, compliance, and engineering questions. All of the hotlines are available as a free service to OAB member stations.

FCC Hotline

The OAB's FCC counsel of Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard LLP can provide answers on a wide range of federal issues, including political broadcasting rules, EEO regulations, federal wage and hour rules, license renewal, and more.

The OAB's Ohio counsel of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP provides general information regarding Ohio laws and rules governing advertising and other state issues.

Engineering Hotline

The OAB offers an Engineering Hotline where members can find answers to engineering, maintenance and repair issues. Questions are answered by the OAB's Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) inspector Jack Layton, who is a Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer.
