11/16/11 OAB Joins Other State Broadcast Associations in Filing Joint Reply Comments on Internet TV Captioning
 

Earlier this month the OAB joined 44 other state broadcasters associations joined in filing Reply Comments in the FCC's rule making proceeding to implement certain provisions of the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act of 2010 that would require television stations to caption television programming disseminated over the Internet.

The OAB is offering members a number of sales events and webinars over the next three months, including free access to Jim Doyle’s national satellite and online auto sales conference on November 11, and Customer Focused Selling Solutions with Pat Bryson (the OAB's Fall Sales Seminar in Columbus) on November 15.

Applications for the upcoming “Bridging the Gap” workshop for journalists are now being accepted. The workshop, funded by the McCormick Foundation, allows journalists to embed for a week with officers at the Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and soldiers at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
