The NCAB, OAB and VAB came together for their third-quarter legal webinar of 2018, which covered FCC EEO rules. The session was led by Stephen Hartzell, partner at the associations' FCC law firm Brooke, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard LLP. With the FCC’s decision to move EEO oversight from the Media Bureau to the Enforcement Bureau, the importance of compliance with the FCC’s EEO rules has never been more important. This webinar provided a review of the FCC’s requirements for EEO compliance. Among the topics discussed were:

• The FCC’s general EEO requirements
• The FCC’s recruitment requirements
• The importance of non-vacancy outreach activities
• Reporting requirements
• Recordkeeping requirements
