2022 Ohio State Bar Association Law & Media Conference
The OAB is pleased to partner with the Ohio State Bar Association for its 2022 Law & Media Conference!
This year, attendees have the option of attending the conference virtually via interactive webinar, or in-person at the Ohio Bar Headquarters in Columbus. As a benefit of membership, the OAB will cover the registration fee for the first 20 attendees from member stations to register for this event, a value of $40!
The annual one-day event brings together lawyers, journalists, broadcast professionals, and students to discuss the latest hot topics in media law. Among the questions addressed will be:
- How is the media and their lawyers working to ensure accuracy at a social media pace and with great cultural and political division?
- How has social media impacted public affairs lobbying?
- Lawyers are held to highest professional standards, but what are the consequences when journalists breach their ethics?
- And with defamation suits prominent in the national news, what’s going on in Ohio?
