WOIO-19 and WUAB-TV are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL/WOHZ, the only Telemundo stations in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 69.5 hours of live, local news, weather and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and 5+ hours of news on WTCL/WOHZ.
Job Summary/Description:
WOIO 19 News is looking for a Morning Executive Producer. We seek a creative leader to build hard-hitting and memorable broadcasts for the 430am to 7am, 7am to 9am and 11am to Noon news blocks. The ideal candidate will be a news junkie, full of creativity and with strong leadership skills. The successful candidate must know how to create great newscasts that are both “fast and friendly”, while also meeting the highest standards of journalism.
Lead newsroom operation during the highly competitive morning daypart. Supervise overall production, writing and on-air direction of newscasts during your shift. Administer directives of the News Director and Assistant News Director and implement news department policy through individual broadcasts. Assist in hiring, scheduling and evaluating producers and on-air talent. Occasional special project producing. Occasional out-of-town assignments, which may include field producing.

Qualifications/Requirements:
A management position requiring 3-5 years of news line producing and previous news management. Excellent people skills and news judgment. Able to make multiple decisions under intense pressure. Must be knowledgeable about and be able to demonstrate contemporary production skills, with a vision for creative storytelling. May be called upon to produce newscasts during vacation periods. Knowledge and understanding of libel and privacy law is required. Ability to work well under pressure and well with a diverse group of people. Must be able to handle a wide variety of variables.
