About WOIO/WUAB:
WOIO-19 and WUAB-43 are the CBS and CW Affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as WTCL, the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. We produce 69.5 hours of live, local news, weather, and sports every week and deliver content on a 24/7 basis on our digital platforms on WOIO and WUAB, and 10+ hours of news on WTCL/WOHZ.

Job Summary/Description:
We are looking for a talented videojournalist to shoot and edit news stories, conduct interviews, and coordinate live shots with reporters. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable with video and editing equipment and have a creative vision for storytelling.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Ability to quickly edit
• Lighting knowledge
• Comfortable conducting interviews

To thrive in this position, you’ll need:
• Ability to storytell using video, utilizing natural sound and creative editing techniques
• Hands-on experience with editing software
• Able to conduct interviews to get information
• Must be able to lift/carry camera equipment ranging from 20lbs-25lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Good decision-making skills and news judgment

Qualification/Requirements:
• Applicant must have two years of experience as a news Videographer/Editor.
• Have a solid understanding of news program production.
• Degree in Journalism/communications with videography and non-linear editing.
• Proven experience as a digital video storyteller with strong camera and editing skills (experience with Edius is a plus).
• A demo reel is required.
• Strong photography skills and the ability to think creatively under constant deadline pressure.
• Skilled in lighting under various conditions.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines.
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as a part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
