Job Description

WXIX FOX19 is looking for a Digital Content Producer to join our award-winning team. The successful candidate understands the importance of enterprise storytelling, content generation, and live/breaking news on the FOX19 digital and social platforms. The employee will be responsible for generating digital content for FOX19.com and the station’s social media platforms. The person will also take part in the station’s efforts to expand local programming on the FOX19 streaming platforms (FOX19 app on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV).

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Work under tight deadlines on a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, shift coverage, breaking news, and severe weather
• Monitor news sources to develop news content for digital platforms
• Write and post content, including news stories, videos, and pictures, across all FOX19 digital and social platforms
• Assignment desk duties (from time to time)
• Work with members of the FOX19 News Team to create original content for streaming platforms
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills
• Experience with Edius software
• Solid news judgment
• Work under pressure; meet deadlines
• Familiarity with all distribution platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Streaming, etc.
• A Bachelor`s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent is required
