WKFM WLKR seeks to hire future broadcasters as Summer Interns again in 2026!
WKFM / WLKR Interns are typically college students with plans to enter the broadcast and media industry. Interns are employed throughout the Summer months, assisting our Radio stations in a variety of manners – in several different departments. Internships are paid, with weekly hours assigned from May through August.
Interns can expect to be asked to work in a variety of departments:
• Promotions / Programming – assisting station staff at live broadcasts and station events
• Music / Programming – assisting with music cataloging and other in-studio duties
• Sales – exposure to the advertising sales department & duties
