Join the OAB’s in-person sales seminar, presented by 40-year broadcast veteran Steve Wexler of WEXL Coaching & Development, for an interactive workshop focusing on best-in-class sales practices! In this interactive workshop, we’ll arm AE’s with a contemporary way of thinking about what business our clients actually think we’re in … and how to make sure we’re speaking their language, not ours.
We’ll talk about the actual words we choose to use – and Steve will challenge us to speak and write from a “customer-first” point of view.
We’ll also work on preparation for client meetings and asking better questions on first and second calls, focusing on the three powerful types of questions all AE’s should understand (fact-finding questions, needs questions, and implication questions) to uncover real customer needs. Steve will also reveal his “Top 10 Traits” of great salespeople and lead a discussion of why those traits lead to success.
We’ll wrap up by applying some of these concepts in a sales competition where two AE’s will face-off to see who asked the best questions and uncovered the true needs of a faux partner.
The seminar is designed for sales teams at both radio and TV stations. Whether you’re a long-time veteran or new to your position, this seminar will provide tips and ideas that you can apply on your next sales call.
Registration includes all meeting materials and lunch. The cost is $75 for the first registrant from an OAB member station or cluster of co-located stations, and $60 for each additional registrant from same station or cluster.
